IMPORTANCE OF THE SYSTEM TO MALAYSIA AIRLINES BERHAD

Kiosk Machine

Benefits To Passengers

The advantages that kiosks bring are significant, and increasing numbers of companies are utilizing them to deploy self service applications. In fact, according to Forrester Research, 80% of brick-andmortar retailers with an online presence plan to install interactive terminals in their stores.
The recent surge in the popularity of interactive kiosks can be attributed to several factors. First,
new technologies like web-based applications reduce project costs and reduce the need for custom software development projects. Next, the widespread availability of Internet access provides kiosk owners with an affordable way to connect all of their terminals together, regardless of geographic.
Reduce cost and time
systems result in reduced costs for individuals. Businesses save on operational and processing expenses mainly due to reduction in technological costs .For example, the use of the Internet and the acquisition of computers and other machines. Expenditures in paper and postage is cut down along with time spent in executing personal transactions. Customers also save on time spent in dealing with personal transactions as in traditional payment systems.

Security Thumbprint

benefits of this

In future, it will be much more common to have to confirm your identity with biometric information: either your fingerprint, a scan of the iris or retina in your eye, or a scan of your face.

Function of it
Airport security attempts to prevent any threats or potentially dangerous situations from arising or entering the country. If airport security does succeed in this, then the chances of any dangerous situations, illegal items or threats entering into both aircraft, country or airport are greatly reduced. As such, airport security serves several purposes: To protect the airport and country from any threatening events, to reassure the traveling public that they are safe and to protect the country and their people. With this security thumbprint we can take a caution step because although the people change their face and their costume with thumbprint they will not escape

Process
Before all steps, each and every person fingerprint will be stored in that machine so that every time they scan the machine will match the fingerprint. Moreover the process of obtaining a digital representation of a fingerprint and comparing it to a stored digital version of a fingerprint.
Electronic fingerprint scanners capture digital "pictures" of fingerprints, either based on light reflections of the finger's ridges and valleys, ultrasonics, or the electrical properties of the finger's ridges and valleys. These pictures are then processed into digital templates that contain the unique extracted features of a finger.

These digital fingerprint templates can be stored in databases and used in place of traditional passwords for secure access. Instead of typing a password, users place a finger on an electronic scanner. The scanner, or reader, compares the live fingerprint to the fingerprint template stored in a database to determine the identity and validity of the person requesting access.

Output
After all input and process had done the machine will save the data in database and if the finger print is match then only the machine will approve if the fingerprint didn't match the machine will reject and its mean that something wrong with the situation.

 MALAYSIA  AIRPORT BERHAD  (MAB)
The information system that used in the organization of Malaysia Airport Berhad is security thumb print, X-ray Baggage Scanner machine , Body scanner machine  and kiosk machine.

SECURITY THUMBPRINT
Thumbprint capture is simply another way of recognizing an individual's identity.Automated legal documents, check cashing and high security systems are all candidates for the process aimed at identifying you through your fingerprint. It is a form of electronic signature that provides greater amounts of security to many different industries and individuals.

Thumbprint capture is a form of biometrics that acts as a digital signature detailing who you are for the security system. Since everyone has their own unique print, thumbprint t capture is an excellent way to enhance security.
While the use of finger prints has been around and used for decades by the government and other sectors for purposes of identification, it is only recently that you can be identified simply by pressing your thumb to a machine that immediately recognizes your thumbprint.

Thumbprint identification systems recognize your unique print through the process of scanning the swirly ridge and whorl patterns on your fingertip. They store this information for future use.
Bio metric ID systems like thumbprint capture are used in myriad ways, and are especially effective in situations that call for a high level of security. They are also used by colleges, Banks and ATM's, prisons, government, border control, the military and more. They are also effectively used in research laboratories, especially those with highly sensitive security requirements.

 X-ray Baggage Scanner machine
A conveyor belt carries each item past an X-ray machine. X-rays are like light in that they are electromagnetic waves, but they are more energetic, so they can penetrate many materials. The machine used in airports usually is based on a dual-energy X-ray system. This system has a single X-ray source sending out X-rays.After the X-rays pass through the item, they are picked up by adetector. This detector then passes the X-rays on to a filter, which blocks out the lower-energy X-rays. The remaining high-energy X-rays hit a second detector. A computer circuit compares the pick-ups of the two detectors to better represent low-energy objects, such as most organic materials.

FEATURE:

1 Alarm by sounds & light: Alarm by sounds and light when conform to condition.

2. Network interface: Could be connect local area network and support multi-terminal check baggage at same times

3. Safety ray: Transmit ray under automatic control, avoids the miss

7. Eagle-eye: Could be expediently observing enlargement area.

8. Estimate malfunction by self: Automatic estimate malfunction and prompt message, helpful for the maintenance.

Body scanner machine
A body scanner  is a whole–body imaging device used for detecting objects concealed underneath a person’s clothing. Typical uses for this technology include detection of items for commercial loss prevention,  smuggling and screening at government buildings and airport security  checkpoints.
It is one of the common technologies of full body scanner  used for body imaging.Active scanners direct millimeter wave energy at the subject and then interpret the reflected energy. Passive systems read only the raw energy that is naturally emitted from the human body or objects concealed on the body.

Kiosk Machine
Kiosk system is an integration of a computer that runs the software, touch screen display for the input, and a kiosk enclosure to protect the system. It may also have a bill accepted for transaction of cash, card reader where credit cards can be swiped, scanner and printer. Precisely, it is a high tech computer that can perform varied tasks quite easily and conveniently. With its touch screen monitor it provides various services to customers, employees and also general public without anyone’s help. Kiosk system is most popular for online ticketing, purchasing and security check. It can also have features to replicate the routine HR functions in an organization.  Kiosk software locks down the application in order to protect the kiosk from users. Kiosk software may offer remote monitoring to manage multiple kiosks from another location. Email or text alerts may be automatically sent from the kiosk for daily activity reports or generated in response to problems detected by the software.
